Amazon Games to open new Gaming Studio after Recruiting Rainbow Six Siege Developers!

Amazon with all the money and resources in the world is still following a dream to go big in the world of video games. Despite all the resources we are yet to witness a AAA game from Amazon Games.

However, with recent developments, it seems that Amazon Games is seriously pursuing its mission of developing and publishing games. Amazon is all set to establish a new gaming studio in Canada with some of the original and seasoned developers behind Rainbow Six Siege. The names include Luc Bouchard, the production director, creative director Xavier Marquis, and creative director Romain Rimokh, and the brand director Alexandre Remy. These top-rated developers are switching from Ubisoft to Amazon as part of the new studio based in Montreal.

This new gaming studio in Montreal is the fourth such addition to the Amazon Games roster along with Seattle, Orange County, and San Diego. One of the creative directors of Rainbow Six Siege, Marquis said that the developers are “excited to start with a blank page and the creative freedom to create a completely unique experience in the multiplayer scene,” after working hard for eight years on a tactical shooter game. He further added, “From our first discussion, we felt a true connection with the people at Amazon Games, their approach to gaming, and the sheer amount of knowledge, expertise, and technology available there. It is quite humbling and we couldn’t be more excited to start a studio with them.”

With the addition of another gaming studio and top developers of Rainbow Six Siege, it would be interesting to see if things turn around for Amazon. Google and Amazon both trillion-dollar tech corporations had announced that they would make and release video games. However, by the looks of it, both have failed to come up with a good video game so far.
