Porsche Ventures Invests in GRIIIP to Enhance Viewer Experience.

Porsche has joined hands with Griiip, a motorsport technology that will enhance the audience experience as well perception of car racing. This new venture will take the viewer experience to a whole new level with direct access to raw data right from the driver’s seat.

Griiip has developed a system based on cloud technology that lets the transmission of raw motorsport data directly from the racing car. This raw data is then analyzed and visualized in the cloud. This data processing and collection will benefit any kind of end-user like drivers, fans, teams, and more.

This motorsport technology will help racing organizations, drivers, teams, leagues, and car manufacturers by making key data all the more accessible. This will also make the racing sport more fun, exciting, and interesting by providing a more personalized and immersive viewing experience. This approach will eventually attract younger audiences to motorsport.

The technology works in a way that collects and transmits raw data from vehicles’ electronic units with help of a component called the Red Box. The data and information are collected by Red Box during races which produce live content and data-driven products. Moreover, fans can also access a driver’s profile and other real-time information during a race to analyze or compare it in innovative ways. This includes a variety of datasets like driver’s stress levels, car’s vitals, predicted lap times, tire data, and more in real-time.
