Gaming news Alert! This one is for the huge fan base of Minecraft and Super Smash Bros. You probably saw the reveal video of the latest DLC Fighter Smash Ultimate where Nintendo announced the inclusion of Steve and Alex from Minecraft to Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
The news was huge and everybody took to Twitter and guess what, Twitter completely went down. Every gamer went down to Tweet their opinion and argue with each other and Twitter decided to peace out for a few minutes.
The reveal video featured Smash Bros Series long time director Masahiro Sakurai who shows off new moves of the newly added characters which also included the ability to build your platforms out of blocks, Minecraft players are well aware of this feature.
Steve and Alex have three different skins each and in this way, you will have the opportunity to play six different Minecraft characters. In addition to this, there is an Enderman and a Zombie also featured in the video.
These characters will be available for $29.99 but you can also get your hands on the Minecraft pack for $5.99 on its own.
Now let’s talk about the original video, the brief clip started with Steve in action in a Minecraft themed stage. The director of the game also explained how the inclusion of Minecraft characters was a herculean task for the whole team. He said, “We have to rework all our existing stages so that blocks can be placed in them.”
Sakurai also stressed that this decision was made by Nintendo and he was told to put Minecraft characters in the game. He also took a little jab at Nintendo executives for not fully appreciating all the work that goes into adding a new character saying, “They make it sound easy, I guess they think it all happens by magic or something.”
It was a disgruntled Sakurai, however, the negotiations behind the scene for this project was going on for quite some time; 2014 to be exact. Yes, you read that right, these things take a lot of time. We are excited about this gaming news, are you?
